In response to a question about candidates’ personal mottos, Biden says at the tenth Democratic presidential debate, “Everyone should be represented. Everyone — and no one’s better than me and I’m no better than anyone else. The fact is, what we should be doing — we talked about the Supreme Court. I’m looking forward to making sure there’s a Black woman on the Supreme Court, to make sure we in fact get every representation.” He later tweeted the same promise, making a targeted appeal to Black women who are the most reliable Democratic voters and especially key in the upcoming South Carolina primary election.
