The third night of the Democratic National Convention celebrates the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment’s ratification, barring the denial of the vote on the basis of sex, and features a slate of women speakers. Speakers ahead of Kamala Harris include 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), former legislator and activist Stacey Abrams (D-GA), and former U.S. Representative Gabby Giffords (D-AZ). The DNC also shares a video montage of women voting, protesting, and testifying before Congress over the years, including at the Women’s March in January 2017.
