The third night of the Democratic National Convention celebrates the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment’s ratification, barring the denial of the vote on the basis of sex, and features a slate of women speakers. Speakers ahead of Kamala Harris include 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, Senator Elizabeth Warren, former legislator and activist Stacy Abrams, and former U.S. Representative Gabby Giffords. The DNC also shares a video montage of women voting, protesting and testifying before Congress over the years, including at the Women’s March in January 2017.
