February 26, 2020 - NYT Columnist Suggests Sexism Explains Warren’s Lack of Success in Democratic Contest

In a tweet the morning after the tenth Democratic presidential debate, The New York Times columnist Charles Blow tweets, “I must say that I’m very surprised @ewarren isn’t performing better, and that’s even before these debate performances. I’m really trying to not let it come down to sexism, but at a certain point trying is denying.” Blow’s comment explicitly suggests that there are gendered biases at play making it harder for Warren to find electoral success, and that a man running a similar campaign would fare better.
