In multiple ads narrated by and featuring Black men, Trump’s campaign claims that Biden “insulted millions” of Black Americans by assuming they would support him and that he “jailed us” due to his support for the 1994 Crime Bill. These ads, coming at the end of the presidential campaign, are consistent with efforts by Trump and his team to appeal directly to Black male voters, as well as to affirm to some white voters that they should worry more about Biden’s record on race than claims that Trump is racist.
